Important Registration Dates and Deadlines

General information - In order for your students to participate in The Greater St. Louis Science Fair, a Regional qualifying fair for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, you need to:

  1. Register your school. Each school that will send projects to The Greater St. Louis Science Fair must register the school. The School Coordinator should complete the on-line registration.
  2. Confirmation. Once you have successfully registered your school, you will receive
    • an e-mail confirmation
    • Sequence Numbers (School Coordinator’s will give out Sequence Numbers to the student projects at your local fair that will compete at the Greater St. Louis Science Fair at Queeny Park)

  3. Judges. For you school to participate as a full-partner you will need to provide 1 judge for every 5 spaces you request during the School Registration process.
    • Judge Registration: Each judge will register on-line. Direct your judges to the Greater St. Louis Science Fair Home Page – Judge section to register. Judges can be teachers, parents or adults interested in science!
    • Judge Registration is open September 1, 2008 thru April 18, 2009
    • Each judge will select:
      • The school that they represent
      • The division that they would like to judge (i.e. Elementary-Grades K-5 or Secondary-Grades 6-12)
      • The Category (i.e. Environmental Projects, Chemistry Projects, etc.)
      • Note: Judges are asked to judge at least 10 to 15 projects which takes about 2 hours. Of course they can judge more projects if they would like! Free dinner provided at Queeny Park for all judges on the night that they judge!

  4. Student Project Registration. Each school that registers for The Greater St. Louis Science Fair will receive spaces and sequence numbers to be used by their students when they register their projects. The students who are going to compete at Queeny Park at the Greater St. Louis Science Fair need to register their project on-line.

    • Note: Students registering projects will need to provide name (if team project, names of all team members), home contact information, school name, project title, project type, project grade level and project category, and e-mail address and sequence number)
