HONORS - Registration Process
Greater St. Louis Science Fair
Honors Division Competition – February 27 – 28, 2009
The Honors Division consists of an educational competition involving collegiate level research studies completed by students in grades 9 – 12. Projects entered in the Honors Division can be done by one student or teams of 2 or 3 students. Each project must cover research done over a maximum of 12 continuous months between January 2008 and May of 2009.
The top students from the Honors Division will represent the Greater St. Louis Science Fair at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Reno, Nevada from May 10 – 15, 2009. These students will have the opportunity to meet scientists, engineers, and mathematicians from all over the world. Projects for the Honors Division are judged locally by scientists from Monsanto, Pfizer and other local scientific and educational institutions.
All projects in the Honors Division must adhere to rules set forth by the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (http://www.sciserv.org/isef). Some projects (human subjects, vertebrate animals, potentially hazardous biological agents) may need approval by a Scientific Review Committee or Institutional Review Board prior to experimentation.
