6-12 Safety First!

  2. Here is a quick over-view of types of projects that require Safety Approval and a Safety Number:
    1. If your study involves the participation of people
    2. If your study involves animals (vertebrates)
    3. If you study involves biological agents (living things or parts of living things)
  3. For your safety, your project may NOT contain the following:
    1. Controlled substances: for example, no prescription drugs, no drinking (ethyl) alcohol, no tobacco or any other DEA classed substances
    2. Hazardous substances or devices: no hazardous equipment, no firearms, no hazardous chemicals, no radioactive substances, no explosives, no toxic chemicals, no mutagens or carcinogens.
