2026 K-12 Regional Science Fair Judge! 

 = 

 

 

There are two ways to judge projects this year! 

 VIRTUAL PROJECTS JUDGING 
  •  Time commitment: 3-6H

  • Trainings for the online judging system will take place online between Monday, March 30 – Friday, April 10, trainings will last 30-45min. You will be asked to attend one training.

  • Judging will take place Wednesday, April 15 – Wednesday, April 22.

    • Judges will be assigned 8-15 projects to evaluate. Rubrics will be provided.

 IN-PERSON PROJECTS JUDGING

  •  Time commitment: 3-4H

  • Trainings for in-person judging will take place online between Monday, April 13 – Thursday, April 16, trainings will last 30-45min. You will be asked to attend one training.

  • Judging will take place in a 2-3 hour time slot Wednesday, April 23 or Thursday, April 24.

  • Judges will be assigned 6-10 projects to evaluate. Rubrics will be provided.

 

 

 

All judges are invited to attend

the K-12 Awards Ceremony 

 on Saturday, April 25 from 1P-2:30P

on the Webster University Campus

 

 

Who can serve as a K-12 Science Fair Judge?

EDUCATORS, PRE-SERVICE EDUCATORS, and RETIRED EDUCATORS

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (The Academy of Science will provide validation of volunteer hours if needed.)

UNDERGRAD STUDENTS, GRAD STUDENTS, DOCTORAL STUDENTS

PARTIES, PROFESSIONALS, AND RETIREES from corporations, industry, educational institutions science and community organizations, and institutions of higher ed. You DO NOT need a terminal degree to judge the K-12 Regional Science Fair!

HONORS DIVISION JUDGING IS NOW CLOSED

Honors Division judges must have terminal degrees or specialized expertise in their STEM, or STEM-related field. Honors Division Fair projects are judged in both a virtual (Round One) and in-person (Finalists Round) competition. Round One virtual and Round Two in-person judging for the Finalists Competition are now closed. You can view the full list of this year's impressive Finalists and Semifinalists on the homepage.
