In order to serve as a judge for the Academy of Science -  St. Louis Science Fair,  please pre-register. Judge registration is now open.

 

We appreciate your dedication to helping students in the St. Louis area
explore their world through scientific investigation.

FAQ's

DATE:  Judging will take place on Wednesday April 29, 2020 between 10:00 AM and 8:30 PM

LOCATION OF THE FAIR:  Queeny Park, Greensfelder Recreation Complex, Ballwin, MO 63011

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE:   Just stop in for about 2 hours to judge 15 projects(If you have time, please judge a few more!)

DO I STAY ALL DAY:  No - just a couple of hours - but you can stay longer if you like!

ARE STUDENTS PRESENT AT JUDGING:  No, you will judge their very comprehensive poster and log book.

SCORING RUBRIC:  Score sheets are provided.  Click here to view criteria.

QUALIFIED JUDGES INCLUDE:  science and engineering professionals, teachers, retired teachers, pre-service teachers, adult service groups, college students, high school honors students (grading elementary projects) and all interested in inquiry-based science.

REFRESHMENTS:  Snacks provided throughout the day and free judge dinner between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm.

CHILDREN:  Please make arrangements for your children as the judging portion of the fair is open to adults only.  However, your children are welcome on Friday when the fair is open to all!

HIGH SCHOOL JUDGES: I am in High School, may I judge?  Yes!  High School Honors Students may judge projects in Grades K-3.
