About The E-Fair
Now in its third year, the electronic fair option is an exciting opportunity for students to:
- Gain experience in preparing real-world technical presentations
- No need to drop off your project at the Fair -- submit it online!
- "Go Green" by reducing material use and waste
- Save money by not buying display materials
Want to Participate?
Make sure your school will allow e-fair projects. If your teacher is not aware of the e-fair program, please point them towards this page! You will complete your science fair research as you would normally, but instead of preparing a physical display, you will prepare an electronic presentation according to the e-fair rules. E-fair projects are due on a different schedule than projects at Queeny Park, so be sure to pay close attention to the e-fair rules.
Just like projects built on a physical display, your e-fair project will be viewable at Queeny Park on computers set aside for e-fair purposes.
E-Fair Rules
- The project (experiment, research, etc) must be completed following all of the rules of the Greater St. Louis Science Fair.
- Two files must be turned in with each e-fair project: A PowerPoint or PDF File for the Project Presentation, and a Microsoft Word or PDF File for the Log Book.
- The presentation file must have no more than 20 slides or pages. It should contain everything that would normally have been displayed on your project board. Pictures, text, and scanned drawings are all acceptable. Please follow the same rules as for projects that are presented on boards.
- You must register your project online with the Greater St. Louis Science Fair, prior to the registration deadline of April 17, 2010. When registering your project, you must select the "Electronic" option.
- Once your project has been registered, you must upload your documents by April 20, 2010. When e-fair uploading is made available, a link will be posted here on this page for you to upload your files.
- Watch this site for your ribbon placement and special awards! An electronic certificate will be sent to your e-mail address.
