2022 HONORS DIVISION - RESULTS!

TOP ST. LOUIS SCIENCE STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR: ACADEMY OF SCIENCE - ST. LOUIS SCIENCE FAIR - HONORS DIVISION!

The Academy of Science- St. Louis is pleased to announce the winners of the St. Louis Science Fair- Honors Division!

The two 1st place winners will represent the Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair at the virtual section of Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in May.

All Honors Division finalists will be automatically entered as top projects in the Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair for grades K-12 and will compete for special awards and scholarships in April. These awards will be announced May 3rd, 2022.

Tied for 1st Place
Anushka Rawat, Grade 11, Parkway South High School
Project Title: A novel biogradable device to combat and prevent water eutrophication
Award: Anushka is now qualified to compete in the virtual section of the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair in May and will be recognized at the 26th Academy of Science - St. Louis Outstanding Scientists Awards Dinner.

Emily Shaw, Grade 11, Ladue Horton Watkins
Project Title: The Effect of Glucose-6-Phosphate on Apoptosis of MCF7 Breast Cancer Cells
Award: Emily is now qualified to compete in the virtual section of the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair in May and will be recognized at the 26th Academy of Science - St. Louis Outstanding Scientists Awards Dinner..

Johanna Jachna, Grade 11, St. Joseph's Academy
Project Title: Effect of Organic vs. Synthetic Fertilizer of Blue-green Algae
Award: Johanna will be recieving a $1000 scholarship and will be recognized at the 26th Academy of Science - St. Louis Outstanding Scientists Awards Dinner.
