Here is a helpful timeline for planning your project:

1. Qualifying Fair -- Check with your teacher to find out the date of your qualifying Fair (your school, district or other qualifying fair) in which you will participate in order to qualify for The Greater St. Louis Science Fair
2. Allow yourself 2 to 3 months before the Fair to begin your research
3. Decide on a project (see "Getting Started")
4. If an experiment, write your hypothesis
5. Start your logbook and write in it every time you work on your project
6. Order (from your school) or buy your display board (see "Display")
7. Complete your project and complete your logbook
8. Complete your display board
9. 
   
10. Bring your project to your qualifying Fair
11. ENJOY THE FAIR

1. REGISTER - Greater St. Louis Science Fair - your school will let you know if you qualify to go to the Greater St. Louis Science Fair at Queeny Park.  REGISTER YOUR PROJECT FOR THE FAIR BY APRIL 18, 2010 - your teacher will give you a sequence number - then go to Stuent Project Registration to register!
2. ROW AND POSITION NUMBER - You will receive a row and position number via e-mail.
3. DISPLAY ID CARD - Place your display ID card which includes your sequence number and row and position on the bottom right of your display board.
4. ARRIVE - Bring your project to Queeny Park on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm.  This is the only project drop off time for all Grades K-12
5. RESULTS - Parents/students/teachers check the website for award winners on Thursday, May 6, 2010
6. AWARDS
   1. Elementary (Grades K-5) - If you won a blue ribbon or special award, come with your family and friends to Queeny Park on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm for an Elementary Awards Ceremony (Grades K-5)
   2. Secondary (Grades K-12) If you won a special award, we do not have an actual awards ceremony.  Instead, we have an "Awards Pick-Up and Photo Opportunity" for you!  Come to Queeny Park on Friday, May 7, 2010 anytime between 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm or Saturday, May 8, 2010 between 9:00 am and noon to pick up your award and get your photo taken!
7. PROJECT PICK UP - go to Queeny Park and pick up your project anytime on Friday between 10:30 am and 8:30 pm or Saturday between 9:00 am and noon.  Note:  since we do not have a storage facilitiy, all projects not picked up by noon on Saturday will be discarded.
