HONORS DIVISION - RESULTS!

TOP ST. LOUIS SCIENCE STUDENTS QUALIFY FO THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR:  ACADEMY OF SCIENCE - ST. LOUIS SCIENCE FAIR - HONORS DIVISION!

(ST. LOUIS) The Academy of Science - St. Louis is pleased to announce the top students who participated in the Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair - Honors Division on Saturday, February 29, 2020. The top two students will represent the Academy of Science - St. Louis Science Fair at  International Science and Engineering Fair. High School students have completed collegiate-level research in regional classrooms and labs.  The competition was held at Webster University, Browning Hall, Interdisciplinary Science Building.

Over 40 MD's, PhD's and professionals with exceptional engineering/technoloogy expertise generously served as Honors Division Judges.  Scholarships are awarded to the top 10 students made possible through the generous support of the Bayer Fund!

First Place

Project Title:  A Machine Learning Approach to Identify Socio-economic factors responsible for patients dropping out of substance abuse treatment

Award:  $3,000 Bayer First Place Scholarship; qualified for the International Science & Engineering Fair - and will be recognized at the 2020 Academy of Science - St. Louis Outstanding Scientists Awards Dinner on September 17, 2020.
